It's 2115. In Eddy's village the story-keeper, Mere, still tells the oldest story there is, of how life began, but four of its parts were lost when the old places beyond the fields were fenced off. You're Eddy, her apprentice, and you're going to bring them back.
Battles are turn-based and nothing is left to luck: every creature shows its next move above it, so every fight is a small puzzle you can read and win. Each old place is guarded by an echo of its element: water, stone, wind and flame.
Find the four made things, the flask, the carved stone, the bell and the lamp. Each has a use in battle and a use out in the world, and if you use all four in one fight, THE FOUR comes up. Keep out of the occupiers' red as you cross the wilds: if they see you, you're sent back, never fought.
Your story is saved at every well. Bring all four parts home, hear the keeper tell the story whole, then find your best turns against each echo on the score table.
